Synopsis:From #1 New York Times bestselling author Ann Brashares comes the welcome return of the characters whose friendship became a touchstone for a generation. Now Tibby, Lena, Carmen, and Bridget have grown up, starting their lives on their own. And though the jeans they shared are long gone, the sisterhood is everlasting.Despite having jobs and men that they love, each knows that something is missing: the closeness that once sustained them. Carmen is a successful actress in New York, engaged to be married, but misses her friends. Lena finds solace in her art, teaching in Rhode Island, but still thinks of Kostos and the road she didn’t take. Bridget lives with her longtime boyfriend, Eric, in San Francisco, and though a part of her wants to settle down, a bigger part can’t seem to shed her old restlessness.
Then Tibby reaches out to bridge the distance, sending the others plane tickets for a reunion that they all breathlessly await. And indeed, it will change their lives forever—but in ways that none of them could ever have expected.
As moving and life-changing as an encounter with long-lost best friends, Sisterhood Everlasting is a powerful story about growing up, losing your way, and finding the courage to create a new one.

My Review:
This book was really good. I forgot how much I love Ann Brashares' writing. It was all so meaningful. I was basking in every word.
I am also so glad that she wrote this one because I felt like the last installment was incomplete and it definitely left me wanting more. I missed the characters more than I had realized, and it was so refreshing to see how their adult lives were going.
Lena has always reminded me of myself. And I wasn't surprised to discover that her adult character is somewhat what I could imagine myself being like when I go off on my own. Her story was really touching and her romance with Kostos was very endearing. I was so into it and thank goodness he was in the book!
I admired Bridget's carefree spirit when she goes off on her own. It made me want to be a hippy. I also appreciated how the author showed how she was getting a little eaten up by the depression her genes gave her (her mother) and how towards the end she kind of found a cure to it. I loved the whole emphasis on being a mother and the author made motherhood appear quite beautiful. It was nice.
Carmen was honestly driving me nuts. She has always been my least favorite character, but I honestly was done with her personality. But at the end I was really touched by the bus situation and started to like her. Sad that it took me so long.
Tibby was a mystery, yet she still gave me chills. She is a very deep character and really brought things with the sisterhood together.
All in all, I loved this book. It is a favorite, and I know some might find this ridiculous, but they need to make another movie!!! The morals in this book taught some of the keys of life and I thought it was really fantastic!
(parental warning: there is strong language a few times)
